I escaped

On Wednesday, April 11th I made a run for it and broke out of the hospital just in time to pick Zoe up from school. It was the cutest moment ever. Zoe yelled, "Daddy" then ran and jumped into his arms. He told her to go see who was in the car and she tilted her head to see me. I've never seen her eyes get so big. A huge smile grew on her face and she ran over to the car yelling, "Mommy." Then said, "Are you REALLY home?"

It was decided that I have hiatal hernia and need oxygen to maintain my normal oxygen levels. So I get to trade my fashionable winter mask for a classy spring cannula oxygen tube. Again, try not to be jealous if you are unable to participate in this fashion statement. I will be wearing the oxygen until the transplant.

According to WebMD a hiatal hernia is where "the stomach and the section of the esophagus that joins the stomach slide up into the chest through the hiatus." That is causing some of my pain and not allowing me to get my food down. You can read more about hiatal hernia here. Below is an image of hiatal hernia from WebMD.

So now I eat softer foods and smaller amounts. However, this is not helping me with my weight gain diet.

I told the doctors I needed to be released from the hospital by thursday because I have plans this weekend. My gorgeous little girl has decided to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She will be getting baptized on Saturday, April 14th.

So many friends and family have stepped in to help make this day so magical for her. Family from out of state are coming to be with us on her special day. My sisters and mom have taken charge of our luncheon we will have after the baptism. Several friends are bringing food for the luncheon and helping with set up. Friends have come over and cleaned my house. My dear friend, Tracey Daw made this beautiful baptism dress for Miss Zoe. My extremely talented friend, Vanessa Welch took the most charming pictures of Zoe. Family members have sent gifts and notes. I'm sure I'm missing many others who are helping in so many ways. I really appreciate all the love and support we've been given. This little girl is so LOVED!
