I wait some more...

I’m going to be very honest about how I feel right now. I’m really struggling today. Having this terrible cough and now sinus infection on top of everything else has just kicked my behind. I just hurt. I’m so tired of being sick and exhausted. I wish that I could go to the doctor and be diagnosed with something treatable at this moment. I want some relief from the pain in my lungs.

That’s enough whining for one day.

Below is a picture of Dr. Poku, my cardiologist. I love him! He is like an over protective father to me. I have been seeing him for about 18 years.

On Monday, I was able to see the images of my aorta from the heart cath. It was incredible. Dr. Poku explained how my aorta is different from a normal one and how mine works.

We talked about other findings from the heart cath such as the right side of my brain is not getting as much blood. My liver was not enlarged due to my heart and has most likely gone down. We also talked about things that make me a good candidate for the transplant.

My procedure and test results are being complied and sent to Stanford. My cardiologist will contact me after he sends the information and has talked to Stanford.

So now, I wait for Stanford to contact me.

On a side note, I’ve connected with a women named Sharlie, who had a heart and double lung transplant about 6 years ago. It was so nice to talk with someone who understands some of the thoughts and feelings I’ve had about the transplant. I appreciated having some of my questions answered.
